completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in 2004. He continued his postgraduate education and experience in the medical profession for more than 10 years abroad: in the United States, Ireland and England, where he completed his specialisations in internal medicine, endocrinology and diabetology in 2015. Having passed all the necessary examinations, he was inducted into the elite internal medicine society in the UK - Royal College of Physicians in London, and Ireland - Membership of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, as well as having his medical degree fully nostrified in the USA. He completed a post-specialty clinical fellowship at Weill-Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City in a specialist centre for the treatment of overweight and obesity.

Jakub Bukowczan, MD, is a member of many endocrinology and diabetology scientific societies in Europe, the UK and the USA (Endocrine Society, Society for Endocrinology, European Society of Endocrinology, Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD). He actively devotes himself to publishing original scientific papers, conference reports, reviews by invitation for a number of scientific journals and is a member of the editorial board in one of them.

Currently, dr Jakub Bukowczan, M.D., works as a specialist in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetology and non-surgical treatment of overweight and obesity, and his research interests focus on the study of gastrointestinal peptide hormones in experimental animal models of acute pancreatitis. The methods of diagnosing and treating overweight and obesity, along with their complications, that dr Bukowczan practices and recommends to his patients were learned during his training at New York Presbyterian Hospital from Professor Louis Aronne, who is an authority on obesitology in the US and internationally, and the author of many books and television programmes in the US. Among other things, he has taken part in several editions of the Polish version of TV programme 'Real men', in which he supervises the weight loss process of the main characters. He has written a book, Dr Kuba odchudza, in which he explains in depth the causes of obesity and explains the extraordinary world of hormones responsible for appetite, the sense of satiety, metabolism, weight gain and the accumulation of fat tissue. The popularity of the publishing house and the author himself, as well as the great demand for reliable knowledge in the field of weight loss and the fight against unnecessary kilograms, led him to take the leap and, in line with current trends, create his own educational channel, 'Dr Kuba odchudza', which aims to provide knowledge on overweight and obesity. The channel is public, universal, free of charge and is available on YouTube. It is aimed at everyone who is actively seeking reliable information on how to achieve a healthy and beautiful figure based on medicine and practice supported by many successes.
